About Me

Hi, I’m Yolonda. I started Bling Thirst out of my love for taking plain things and elevating them to amazing, beautiful and fun! I discovered my creative passion many years ago after moving into my first apartment. I had the time of my life decorating and designing a space for myself. Transforming that space awakened a side of me I didn’t know was there. When you can take that creativity outside the walls of your home and use it to make others smile, that makes it meaningful in a much bigger way. This business allows me to do just that.

I’ve worked full time in healthcare as a therapist in Oncology for many years. I believe I was called to this profession because of my compassion and desire to help people who are faced with a cancer diagnosis. For me it is a ministry of love and a way to serve in an area that’s personal to me. When you can make someone smile while they’re in a battle for their life, it’s the most gratifying feeling ever.

My mom was the most creative, crafty, talented person I’ve ever known. I watched her use her hands to make “things” beautiful and to serve “people” all over the world. She was always crafting and blessing others with her many gifts and
talents. It wasn’t until we lost her to breast cancer that I realized she left me with a legacy of creativity to cherish.

My prayer is that God will continue to bless the works of my hands and that every item I create, lands in the hands of someone who appreciates hand crafted items.
